Not to be confused with Sage, Clary Sage essential oil has a distinctive, sweet, flowery, and herbal aroma.  It has tea-like, hay, woody, nutty, and balsamic notes. Clary Sage is complex. Because of this, it blends very well with other essential oils, adding its unique herbal character to the combination.

Skincare: When added to creams, lotions, or soaps, Clary Sage Essential Oil can help regulate sebum levels on the skin. It is also active against the bacteria Staphylococcus epidermidis, which is implicated in acne. 

Stress, tension, and depression: Clary Sage’s uplifting, relaxing, and antidepressant actions make it an excellent choice for emotional issues. Try blending it with sweet orange, jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang, and sandalwood.

Muscles and articulations: Clary Sage Essential Oil is also known to help relieve back pain, cramps, sore muscles, and headaches.

Women’s health: Clary Sage is used to aid menstrual pain and premenstrual and menopausal symptoms. It has also been used to relax women in labor and to increase milk supply in breastfeeding mothers.
